A Very Chic and Totally Odd Hop

We are VERY pleased to welcome you to A Very Chic and Totally Odd Hop!

Chic Tags and Some Odd Girl have partnered up to show you some magic that combines our products into BEAUTIFUL paper crafting projects! We're so glad you're here!
Now through Sunday at midnight EDT, you can enjoy some gorgeous inspiration from the Chic Tags Creative Team and the Odd Girls, leaving your comments at each stop along the way, and on Tuesday, July 1st, a winner will be announced at each blog... Both winners will get $15 to spend at EACH of the Chic Tags and Some Odd Girl shops!

You should have arrived from Angie Boutiller's blog; there are 11 stops in total. As you make your way around to each of the blogs, we are QUITE sure your head will be spinning with ideas! The Chic Tags Creative Team was certainly inspired by the fun Some Odd Girl stamps they received, and we think you're going to like what's in store.

I hope you are as inspired as I am by this amazing collaboration!
I had the pleasure of working with the SOG Breakfast Friends clear stamp set and my oh my did I have some fun with it! I stamped my happy little coffee mug onto some white cardstock and then again on a piece of patterned paper. On the white cardstock, I colored the mouth, handle, and coffee parts, then cut them out. I adhered them to the stamped image on the patterned paper and then cut that out as well. I layered up my papers and die-cuts, adhered them to the card then, I stamped out my sentiment and trimmed the cardstock into a banner shape. I think it turned out pretty cute, how about you?

From here, you're heading over to visit the Chic Tags blog!
Be sure to comment on ALL posts, and you'll be eligible to win!

In case you get lost along the way, here is your full hop list:

Thank you SO MUCH to Some Odd Girl for partnering up with us for this fun event, and to all of you joining us, happy hopping!

In the navy with Paper Issues!

Paper Issues has a new issue posted and its called In the Navy.

There is a great prize to be won and almost 60 link-ups so far!
So stop over and check out what's happening over at Paper Issues!

For my card, I cut a mask(the scattered dots), the anchor and the sentiment, all with my Cameo. I laied the mask out over my card front and inked it with a navy blue ink pad. I had cut the anchor out of white cardstock, along with the sentiment, but it needed some inking to make it look like metal. So, I started with a grey ink, went over it with a darker shade, then gave it a light pass with a metallic gold ink pad to give it that worn metal look. I topped the whole thing off with a bit of thicker twine, tied to the top of the anchor and then twisted randomly about the card.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to link us up to your projects at Paper Issues!
Have a great day!
